About Hills

Once known as Hill's Dairy in Meaford, this historic building has been converted into four rental suites (Hike, Bike, Ski and Paddle), with an adventure shop on the ground floor. Steps to downtown Meaford and minutes to Georgian Bay, Georgian Trail cycling route, the famous Trout Hollow Trail, shops and restaurants, beaches, and 25 mins from Blue Mountain. Hills’ suites offer the perfect year-round getaway.

The building is across the street from Bighead River which flows into Georgian Bay. Daily walks around town can find locals fishing in the river or off the docks. We believe in supporting local, and have partnered with Craig Gallery to feature local artists throughout Hills. All of the soaps and cleaning supplies are provided by The Keep Refillery consisting of all natural, plastic-free products.

About Hills Dairy

In 1936, Norman Reginald Hill purchased Canada’s first established Holstein Dairy, which was established at 16 Berry Street in 1901. Many generations of the Hills family kept “Hill’s Dairy” and delivered milk to Meaford residents for over 70 years.

The Berry Street building overhaul included internal and external renovations of the historic building, managed by local trades and artisans.
